A strike at HMRC might surprise you. It certainly surprised me! I didn’t know anyone was working over there to go on strike!
Joking aside the strike is of a group of about 300 people that work for HMRC vi Fujitsu (yep, I know!).
It really shouldn’t make much difference unless they are all in the same critical department. HMRC is so big that a typical day will see a variance of more than 300 via sick days alone so I wouldn’t worry too much.
They are planning 30th and 31st January. Purely for how it looks to get more traction for the story I suspect. The lesson from today’s email is about timing. Don;t leave anything until then if you don’t have to. Just in case.
