I’m sure a lot of you would rather not have to engage with a tax advisor to get your affairs up to date each year.
Believe it or not the Chartered Institute of Taxation believes the same.
For spring 2025, the Government has committed to announcing a package of measures to simplify tax administration and improve the customer experience, with a focus on reducing burdens on small businesses.
I’ve been asked to share ideas on administrative changes (ie on process, not tax) with the institute and would like to extend that offer to you!
- What savings in time or money can you see in the current tax system?
- Would you like more online help from HMRC or more people on the end of phones?
- What happened the last time you had to call HMRC? Any suggestions to improve?
Pass your ideas to me, I’ll pass them to my institute, and they will pass them to HMRC!
